Today my friends and I decided to take a day trip to Fiesole. It's right outside of Florence and it's a beautiful, quint, country side kind of town. In the picture is everyone who went... from left to right there is Liz, Christine, Erica, me, Meghan, Cecilia, Jackie, and Jessica. They are all a bunch of really sweet girls so it was fun to spend the day exploring a new city with them!Fiesole only took about twenty minutes to get to on bus and it's way up in the hills. The views from Fiesole looking down on Florence are incredible to say the least... (And remember that you can enlarge the pictures by clicking on them)

We had a lot of fun just walking around the city and exploring it. Most of the shops were closed because here in Italy, shops close early on Fridays and most are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. We walked around by the old ruins, the houses, and the restaurants. Fiesole is obviously a place that most tourists don't go to when they visit Florence, so it was nice to be around the locals. Fiesole has a beautiful bell tower that makes a beautiful noise every hour. The sound of the bells chiming together are so wonderful, I just love it! Here is a picture of Fiesole:
And here is the well-known bell tower in Fiesole... I think it looks like it is part of a castle...
We ate lunch in Fiesole and kept it classy by enjoying a nice glass of red wine with our meal. Doing it Italian Style, Baby!
