I sat next to a guy on the plane from Los Angeles to Munich who kept thinking he was the boss and was telling me what I needed to do...kinda a weird guy, but that's okay.
Oh, and my mom bought me footie pajamas from target thinking that I would wear them on the plane....you know, the kind with the built in feet and the zippers...the onesie (spelling?) pajamas...anyway, sorry, mom, but I didn't wear them. I didn't even take them out of the bag. The plane was SO HOT. It was really quite ridiculous. I kept having to ask the flight attendants if they could turn up the air or something...I was sweating!!
Anyway I got to florence and the entire time I was in the taxi, the taxi driver was on the phone! And then when we got to the hotel, he pointed to where my hotel was and told me to get my bags out of the taxi...and the lobby for my hotel? yeah, that's on the 3rd floor. Annnnnd oh right, I'm in Italy, NO ELEVATORS! So here I am at the bottom of this building with 2 large suitcases, 1 smaller suitcase, 1 bag from target and 1 purse... 2 words: OY VEY.
Oh and there is a restaurant right outside the hotel, so there were a bunch of people just watching me struggle. People were whispering things like "how is she going to do that?" and "this should be interesting." yeah no one helped me.
So I left my two big suitcases, walked up the stairs to the hotel, checked in and asked the guy at the front desk for help...thank goodness he helped me....
Anyway, I'm pooped! Hopefully I'll be able to sleep soon...
